AusRedact knows the numbers on Australian forms. Where a number has a check digit, like a TFN, an ABN or a Medicare number, it is checked, so fewer false alarms reach you.

Drawing a black shape over text does not remove it. The words are still in the file underneath. Anyone can copy them out or lift the box off.
AusRedact rebuilds each page as an image with the boxes burnt in. The PDF you download has no text layer, no hidden layers and no metadata. Before you get it, we check every box is at least 99% black and on the right page.
The trade-off: you cannot search or select text in the redacted file. That is the point.

Your documents are processed and stored in Australia. The AI check runs in Sydney and Melbourne. Payments go through Stripe, which may handle card details overseas.
Deleted within 24 hours
Your original, the redacted copy and everything made from them are deleted within 24 hours, or as soon as you press Delete now.
Checked before you download
Every redacted file is checked for its boxes, hidden text and metadata. If a check fails, the file is not released and its pages go back to your page balance.
Nobody browses your files
There is no staff tool for viewing documents. The AI check only sees page images with the identifiers our pattern check found already masked.
